A brief history.

Nina is an Architectual Sculptor

Nina is a Fine Art Sculpture Graduate of Central St.Martins School of Art, London, studied teaching at Leeds University teaching Art and Ceramics to children and adults for ten years. She holds an Advanced qualifications in Stone masonry, working and teaching in the industry for many years, eventually becoming an NVQ assessor.

Since 2000 Nina decided to specialised in Stone Carving.

She is presently the Senior Stone Carving Tutor at The City and Guilds Art School London, on the Historic Carving Course.

Commissions are numerous and include statues for Hampton Court flower show, Gargoyles for St. Pancras Station and Saint Georges Chapel Windsor and a variety of private commissions that range from small memorials to major public art installations. She has also been involved on many restoration projects. Projects include The Houses of Parliament, The Royal Pavilion Brighton and Hereford Cathedral.

Her most recent commision was to design and carve two full statues of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh for the front of Canterbury Cathedral. A full making diary can be found under Royal Statues.

Also enjoy a step by step pictorial diary following the making and installation of a large heraldic Portland bear that is housed on the grounds of a very large family house. Nina is a founder member of "The London Carving Co-Op". A group of highly skilled London based designer makers.
